Navi Mumbai: In a special drive on 23 February, 2022, the Mumbai Customs Department destroyed 656 kg of narcotic substances worth about Rs. 500 crore. The disposal was done at a waste management facility in Taloja MIDC area. The drugs seized in several anti-smuggling operations included one crore cigarettes of foreign origin worth 15 crores.
