Thane: Maharashtra's opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis on 19 February, 2022 inaugurated the first disabled-friendly park in India. Constructed with contributions from the Local Area Development Fund of Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Sahasrabuddhe and the Thane Municipal Corporationm(TMC), the park in Naupada has a barrier-free garden, instructions written in Braille, a ‘sensory section’ for experiential learning using smell, sound, touch and taste. Photo by Praful Gangurde/Picswire
